Our Mission

Our laboratory is engaged to use Photoacoustic (PA) technology to form images (tomography) and to characterize blood samples (pathological vs normal). We also conduct various numerical stadies. The topics are described below:
1. Solving inhomogeneous PA wave equation using the Green's function and the Born series methods.
2. Theoretical studies on PA emission from normal and deceased red blood cells and their morphology dependent spectral features.
3. PA tomography imaging.
4. Use of deep learning methods for improved PA tomography imaging.
5. Blood characterization with PAs.
6. Propagation of photons through tissue.

Prospective PhD students from Science and Engineering backgrounds with NET, GATE, Inspire fellowships may send an email for possible openings.
