Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad will hold the workshop on “Dimensions of Project Management: The Global Perspective” (Details Attached) at IIIT- Allahabad from 27th to 29th March, 2012 in association with our knowledge partners Project Management Institute (PMI).
Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIIT-A) has evolved into a center of excellence in IT and IT-security & management and has earned its niche into the top ranked Institute in the country. It has established collaborations with several globally acclaimed institutes in Europe, USA and Asia-pacific rim countries and East Asian Tiger economies. The institute is identified and bestowed to be a lead institute for IT-management for collaborations and development of IT in SAARC countries by GOI.
The Institute at present has 26 R&D Projects of far-reaching consequences having bearings on the latest innovations, inventions and other academic concepts. There are 08 Industrial collaborations such as Corinex Canada, TCS, ISRO, Zensar Pune, Maple Leaf, ALIMCO, etc. and 08 Centers of Excellence at the Institute.
Realizing the fact that the Academia plays a vital role in bridging the talent gap of Project Management Professionals and the corporate world, IIIT-A in association with PMI as a knowledge partner has taken up an initiative of educating the faculty members of various Management and Engineering colleges on the subject of Project Management.
As a next step to this initiative, IIIT-A is conducting a Workshop/Faculty Development Program, with the key theme – “Dimensions of Project Management-The Global Perspective” from 27th to 29th March 2012.
This is a 2- ½ day program and the contents of delivery would revolve around the PMBOK ® guide. Each day will have 8 hours of delivery, conducted by senior academicians.
